What's the difference between a family session and a motherhood session?
A motherhood session is you and your children, and nobody else. A family session is everybody, whoever everybody is in your house. Both run for 1 hour, both are £295, and both happen somewhere you already go.
If you're trying to work out which one you want, the question isn't really about the photographs. It's about who you want in them.
A motherhood session
You and them. That's the whole session. There'll be thousands of photographs on your phone and you'll be in about four of them, because you're the one holding it.
There's no group shot and no line-up, and your partner only comes if you'd like them there. It's the one to book if you've looked through your phone lately and found thousands of photographs of them and about four of you.

A family session
An hour somewhere you already go. A favourite park, your own garden, the beach, the walk you always end up doing on a Sunday.
Partners, children of any age, grandparents and the dog. Some of the families I photograph have a toddler on somebody's hip and some are three grown-ups who all had the same mum, and both are a family session. The thing it's really about is that you will never all be exactly this again. Next year somebody's moved away, somebody's walking, somebody's brought somebody new along. 🤍

Can you do both?
The motherhood session is built to be you and your children, though your partner is welcome in it if you'd like them there. If you're after some of both in one hour, ask me when you book and I'll tell you honestly whether it'll work for the ages you've got.
