Ninety minutes, and not one photograph of anybody else.
You're a mother, and you're also a woman, and there's probably no recent photograph of the second one. This is that session, and it's entirely yours. It's about seeing yourself the way everybody around you already does.
What actually happens. We talk first, properly, about where you're at and what you'd like out of it. Hair and makeup if you want it. Then ninety minutes somewhere that suits - the studio, your own home, or outdoors. Bring a few things you actually wear. A favourite jumper. A coat you love. The dress you've never had anywhere to wear.
You set how far it goes, and you set it on the day. Fully dressed the whole way through is a complete session and plenty of women choose exactly that. Further is also completely fine. You decide when you're standing there, not when you're booking.
Your photographs are yours. Nothing is ever shared without your written permission, and plenty of my clients share nothing at all. That isn't a line buried in a contract, it's the whole basis of the thing.
You don't need a reason for this, by the way. "I haven't had a nice photograph of myself in nine years" is a reason.
