When should you book maternity photos?
Between 30 and 36 weeks is where most maternity sessions land. Your bump is properly round by then and you're usually still comfortable enough to enjoy an hour of it. I'll photograph from 28 weeks if that suits you better, so do just ask.
Book the date earlier than that, though. Sessions happen at weekends and on annual leave, so the diary fills further ahead than most people expect.
Why that window
Earlier than about 28 weeks and there often isn't much of a bump to photograph yet, which is usually not what somebody booking a maternity session is after.
Much past 36 and it depends entirely on you. Some people are still walking miles at 38 weeks and some have had enough by 34, and you'll know which one you are better than I will. If you're expecting more than one, earlier tends to be kinder. 🤍
If things change
Message me and we'll sort something out. Pregnancy doesn't run to a diary and I'd far rather move a date than have you turn up feeling rotten.
What the session is
1 hour, at home in your own space or outdoors somewhere that means something to you. Your partner's welcome, and so is anybody small who's waiting to meet this one. You get 25 edited photographs in a private gallery, from £275.
If you already know you'd like newborn photographs too, Bump to Baby is both sessions together from £495, and the newborn day gets arranged once they're here.
